New Hampshire Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation Attorneys Press Release

Attorney Ward Speaks for NH Bar Workers’ Compensation Webcast

While COVID-19 has driven many to bunker down, social distancing does not mandate that all activities cease. Attorney John L. Ward was one of two speakers selected to present a webcast on workers’ compensation law and COVID-19 for the New Hampshire Bar Association’s virtually hosted webcast held on Friday, May 22. Attendees learned what parts of COVID-19 fell under workers’ compensation law in the areas of:

  • Potential Exposure to COVID-19
  • What To Do After Testing Positive for COVID-19
  • COVID-19 and Layoffs: Impact on Indemnity Benefits
  • Medical Treatment

The webcast also covered current Department of Labor procedures and how to navigate the options available for 1st level hearings, Compensation Appeals Board hearings, and Lump Sum Settlement hearings (see the full presentation text for the webcast here).

Attorney Ward is currently a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Legal Committee, New Hampshire Association for Justice, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representative. He also serves on the board of directors for the William B. Cashin Senior Activity Center and Manchester City Library foundation. He is also the former chairman of the New Hampshire Workers’ Compensation Law Section Bar. Attorney Ward concentrates on Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, and Social Security Disability law.
