While COVID-19 has driven many to bunker down, social distancing does not mandate that all activities cease. Attorney John L. Ward was one of two speakers selected to present a webcast on workers’ compensation law and COVID-19 for the New Hampshire Bar Association’s virtually hosted webcast held on Friday, May 22. Attendees learned what parts of COVID-19 fell under workers’ compensation law in the areas of:
- Potential Exposure to COVID-19
- What To Do After Testing Positive for COVID-19
- COVID-19 and Layoffs: Impact on Indemnity Benefits
- Medical Treatment
The webcast also covered current Department of Labor procedures and how to navigate the options available for 1st level hearings, Compensation Appeals Board hearings, and Lump Sum Settlement hearings (see the full presentation text for the webcast here).
